Advert research:)

To inspire my ideas for my advert, i researched old adverts from TVark. This first advert is from the animal food company Purina. The message it gives the viewer is that the product that they are selling is the only thing your cat wants. The target audience is for all ages but adults are gonna be more interested in this because they after all feed and look after the cat. The fact the cat looks like its singing is the main reason that it attracts attention to itself.

This advert uses advanced 3D software on the renault car to make it transform into this break dancing robot. An acutal person would of been used for the dancing and the robot frame added onto the movements digitally. I like the idea of using 3D software in my advert because it would make it more interesting. This type of advert would appeal to a younger generation because of the mixture of break dancing and mordern day 3D graphics.

This advert is from 1985 and is a well known because of the dramatic effect that it had on Levi 501 jeans sells. Also the song used in it "heard it on the grapevine" reached the top of the charts that year because of this advert. The advert its self looks like it set in the 1950s and got alot of attention because the model Nick Kamen stripping to his boxers just to wash his jeans. I feel because of this that it would appeal to a female audience then a male audience because of the "male" influence.

This advert is for weetabix and they have based it on the legend of Robin Hood. It shows Robin Hood and his band of merry men going to the rescue of maid Marrien whose being held captive by the evil sheriff of Nottingham; However , theres a catch! The sheriff is has weetabix! This makes Robin Hood run away with his tail between his legs! The advert itself is basically saying that if you have your weetabix, you can take ANYONE on! This is a very good sales technique to use because it gives the impression that the cereal itself is an essential part of the day. This would be probably be aimed at family people.

This advert for Walkers crisps is advertising the limited edition Salt and "Lineker" crisps packet. It stars Gary Lineker and fellow footballer, Paul Gascoin and it just shows paul trying to get some crisps from Gary's packet. When he finally does get some, Gary notices and crushes hand. The funny part is after this when paul starts crying streams of tears from his eyes all over gary and anybody near him. The age range for this advert can be from the the very young to the elderly.

This advert is a Tango ad from 1992. It originally had a bright orange man slapping the guy drinking the Tango but this had to be changed because of complaints from people. Its funny to watch and is suitable for all ages. Its more like wind-up tv where people have pranks played on them hence the popular tang phrase "you know when you been tango'd".

This advert is about Cream cakes. It uses a religous style to make out that their cream cakes are hard to resist (even for monks!). This matches phrase right at the end "naughty but nice". The advert itself is funny and should be suitable for all ages. The famous comedian Frankie Howard used in this advert would boost its impact on the viewer.

This advert uses a interesting mixture of video production and stop animation to change the make-up on the woman. This advert would be aimed at mainly women because of the female perspective its coming from. This advert is closely related to what I am planning to do with my advert because its about cosmetics.

This advert the 1980s and is about fashion accessorie known as a Pop swatch. It is quite a surreal video because of what happens and this might confuse the viewr. This maybe aimed at 20 to 30 year olds but the contain itself is suitable for teenagers and older.

This advert is about womens perfume and is obvisously going to be aimed at women. The advert may also though be aimed at men who are buying for their wifes or girlfriends and loved ones. Its mainly aimed at middle aged women because of the age of the actresses in the advert and the type of activities that they are doing.

This advert of moisturising cream and is obvious straight away that this advert is aimed for women. This could be aimed at men as well if they are buying gifts for their wifes or girlfriends. The frilly look of set make it very stereotypical of a woman and makes out that all women are like that which isnt exactly true. Its aimed at female teenagers and above and is suitable for all ages.xxx
